JUST IN: Metrolink Hits Pedestrain; San Bernardino Line Commuters Expect Delay

A Metrolink train has struck and killed an pedestrian woman near the Indian Hill Boulevard railway crossing in Claremont late this afternoon.

Metrolink officials say the woman was reportedly trespassing along the tracks.

It is unclear at this time why the pedestrian was trespassing and in the way of the oncoming train.

No passengers or Metrolink crew members were injured.

This tragic event is now having two affects on the commute home.

Commuters along Metrolink's San Bernardino Line can expect major delay. Busses are reportedly being brought in as an attempt to alleviate delay along Metrolink's busiest rail line.

Also, due to the investigation by Claremont Police the Metrolink train will remain stationary at the Indian Hill Boulevard crossing for an unknown time, blocking an main thoroughfare though Claremont.
