Metrolink Problems?

All-aboard!

Just on the heels of an controversial delayed vote to raise fares, this weekend the press has not been kind to Metrolink.

First appearing Saturday on latimes.com and today in the Los Angeles Times features an article on some Metrolink board members questioning the leadership of Metrolink chief David Solow, who moved to Southern California from New Jersey in 1990 to help create Metrolink.

More at the Times.

Also today the Riverside Press-Enterprise reports on Metrolink delays, which in October, according to the article, the percentage of trains that arrived within five minutes of their scheduled time declined to 90 percent, down from 95 percent in September and 96 percent in October 2008.

Mr. Solow attributes the train delays to "mechanical issues."
