On this November day in Southern California your editor-in-everywhere chief bids you an good day and hopes all is well with you.
As some have noticed some news updates have begun to be far, few and in-between lately.
Being an good old one-man-band, excuse me, backpack journalist, with the daily fun of life I cannot always be everywhere I would like to be, like reporting, breaking, fixing and aggregating the news.
If you would like to help out the News Wire, please contact me as I can use all the help I can get.
While there has been an few lulls in updates I believe in this site and in the short span of time I have operated the News Wire it has received wonderfully positive feedback with my outings and greetings with the community, not to mention we have broken a few news stories before it reached Grand Avenue in Santa Ana and West First Street in downtown Los Angeles.
In the short time of the News Wire's existence's there was some experiments in news direction and format in its early days of not too long ago, but after some thought and talking it over with people, we have finally found our niche.
That is...
There are several news oriented sites for Southern California, but what makes the News Wire different is how and when we report breaking news, developing news and salient information.
As such, aside from reporting general news, here in disaster prone Southern California when the flames are fanned by wind down into the neighborhood, or the earth moves more than it should, the News Wire has become an major source for providing perennial information as to what is happening now, what to expect and where to go.
Case-in-point, last month Mother Nature flared up (again!) in the Angeles National Forest. Into the late evening flames burnt west threatening the entire town of Wrightwood.
During the overnight hours on Sunday morning there was no news outlet reporting the rapidly developing situation in Wrightwood, except the News Wire.
An entire Southern California town being threaten and all its residents having to evacuate, well, I know it may be Sunday morning, but that is news.
Enough navel-gazing, so if you know of an way or have an suggestion how the News Wire can operate to better serve you and Southern California, please let me know.
