Damage is still being assessed after 91 firefighters from the Los Angeles City Fire Department battled an early morning structure fire this Christmas Eve at an body shop south of downtown L.A. at 4525 Staunton Avenue, between Alameda Street and Long Beach Avenue.
Firefighters received the call at 2:05 a.m. of heavy smoke pouring out of the A-1 Body Shop building.
It took firefighters just under 20 minutes to knockdown the fire.
L.A. Fire Department Public Information Officer Brian Humphrey reports no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
